Nelson Research Centre wins a NZIA 2018 Nelson / Marlborough Architecture award


Lab-works Architecture and Jerram Tocker Barron working in collaboration, are proud to have received a NZIA 2018 Nelson / Marlborough Architecture award for the new Nelson Research Centre located at Port Nelson.

The research centre specialises in scientific research into seafood production and natural marine extracts and accommodates 50 science staff in a purpose designed modern working environment, where the specialist laboratory areas include chemistry laboratories, PC2 molecular laboratories, wet laboratories, a flow tank and workshop spaces.

Working collaboratively together, Lab-works Architecture and Jerram Tocker Barron were able to create a high functioning facility that integrates laboratory and non-laboratory functions in an efficient and seamless way.
