On a prominent corner of the main campus ring road, Lab-works Architecture collaborated with Massey University to deliver a statement building that will provide world-class teaching and research facilities, as well as aid the university in its goal of maintaining accreditation with the American Veterinary Medical Association.
The Student Learning Complex comprises a large, specialist wet teaching laboratory, a large multifunctional dry teaching studio, staff preparation facilities, extensive storage facilities, and common student spaces.
The project has been a collaboration between Lab-works Architecture, CCM Architects, WSP (building services), and Calibre Consulting (structural & civil). Lab-works Architecture performed the role of lead consultant on this project and was also responsible for leading the BIM coordination process.
